Strange Folk of the Southern Isle
A pocket archive of ready-to-use NPCs and adventure hooks for any fantasy roleplaying game, inspired by the folklore of Cornwall and Devon

Strange Folk of the Southern Isle is a pocket archive of resources to help you imbue the flavour of Cornwall and Devon folklore into your roleplaying games — or save your arse when you need to come up with a unique, detailed and 100% lifelike NPC right this very second.
There are five detailed character profiles — from the tormented spectre Jan Tregeagle, to a librarian with an automaton sidekick and a dark hobby, to a fresh take on the ubiquitous innkeeper NPC. Each comes with a trove of personality quirks, secrets, associated items and locations, adventure hooks, and an illustration. There’s also a D20 table of folklore-themed rumours, superstitions and whispers, because who doesn’t love a bit of supernaturally speculative gossip?
Everything within these pages is system-agnostic, so you can use it in any game you like. Except Monopoly. Your family will be confused if you use it in Monopoly.
